Hi, I’m Gabrielle James – an award-winning Hypnotherapist (Dip Hyp CS) with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society.

I specialise in helping people release old patters, overcome challenges and create a calmer, more confident version of themselves through the safe and effective tool of hypnotherapy. Whether you’re here to manage stress, break free from habits, build self-esteem or simply rediscover yourself, you’ll find a safe, supportive space where transformation is not only possible, but sustainable.

In my sessions, I combine hypnotherapy with psychological insights and mindfulness practices, offering you a comprehensive and supportive space for transformation. Each session is tailored specifically to you—using personalised hypnotherapy scripts rather than generic recordings—ensuring deeper, more effective results that align with your unique goals and experiences.

Hypnotherapy works by harnessing the power of your subconscious mind to create lasting, meaningful change. I also take time to teach you how the subconscious works, because when you understand it, you can begin to consciously shape your habits, beliefs, and behaviours. Knowledge is power—and when you're no longer operating on autopilot, real change becomes not only possible, but sustainable.

My journey into hypnotherapy began while working as a secretary in a cardiology unit. A lot of the letters I was transcribing recommended improvements to diet and lifestyle —and I felt a strong desire to do more to support people in making those changes.

Having experienced the profound impact of hypnotherapy personally, for both confidence and weight loss, I knew I had found a powerful tool for healing. That experience changed my life—and now, I help others find that same transformation.

I know starting therapy can feel daunting. That’s why I offer a free discovery call – it’s important that you feel comfortable and connected with your therapist from the start. I create individual, bespoke treatment plans as part of my service. I also provide tasks and resources so you have the tools and techniques you need to continue your journey beyond our sessions.

I stay committed to best practice through regular supervision, CPD training, and I'm fully insured, DBS-checked, and ISO-registered for data protection.

I work from peaceful therapy spaces in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and Bath, and also offer unique 1:1 forest sessions for a nature-based approach to healing. I also offer zoom appointments, which are just as effective.

I’m also a qualified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, I run a 6 weekly Not-For Profit children’s mindfulness project which I developed called MindCrew workshops, in a private forest school setting. I am also the author of “Jasper the Sea Turtle’s Mindful Guide to Sleep” (available on Amazon Audible).
